So often and in so many venues, we go through the motions, not necessarily because we want to, but because we allow ourselves to do so.  The Apostle Paul questions such action, of his people and ours.

Wilderness stages are real, for all of us, but they, no matter how profound, are not the dominant reality.  That knowledge may be one of the greatest gifts we share.

It can be hard to reach out, harder still for those for whom life is good.  With practice, reaching out might not just become easier, it might just make life better for ALL!

We all have our “what ifs.”  I wonder what it’d be like if we didn’t worry so much about ours, but about meeting those of others.

If you are like me, you know what it is to want. There is nothing wrong with wanting. The Apostle Paul encourages us to examine our wants so that we might want what’s best.

Behind every “no,” there is a “yes.” We may not always find that “yes.” Jeremiah reminds us that, when we do, the “yes” may be better than we ever imagined!

In the midst of bad news, it can be hard to find the good. Jeremiah’s word to his people was not what they wanted to hear, but what they needed to hear. It is the same for us, calling us to seize all days for God’s glory.

May the commands at the Table, “to remember,” help us remember God’s grace so that, in remembering, we might share it with others
