I am a mother of an almost 12-year-old daughter, and I recently remarried in February. My daughter’s dad lives nearby, and we share custody. I am the director of communications at MycroBurst, an online crowdsourcing platform for graphic design, and I also freelance write and edit. I left an office-based job I enjoyed in April because I really wanted to work from home, for better work-life balance. I enjoy working hard and being challenged, but I also want to be there for my daughter. I love working from home, as I love the autonomy and flexibility.
