Market Time!

Sadly, K. and I have been missing out on Farmer’s Market visits lately - our calendars are just too packed. But luckily, this month I’m spending several weekends at the mother of all autumn markets - The Pumpkin Patch on Sauvie Island.

I’ll blog more about why I’m there tomorrow. For now, let’s look at gourds! One of the vegetable kingdom’s most beautiful denizens.

This is one of those hardshell gourds you use for crafting, in its fresher state. Just needs several months to dry out completely.

Amazing light on these apples. People were looking oddly at me for kneeling before the bin in photographic reverence.

Anyway, if you’d like to see more autumn’y goodness, there’s a little set on Flickr. And now, off to bed with me. I have another market day tomorrow.
