Episode 119: Mental Health On The Democratic Plantation

January 14, 2013

Mental health on the democratic plantation is that of a sick person who doesn’t want to take the medicine and regimen to obtain the cure for their deficit of logic. As a result, we see continuous assaults on logical thinking as a weapon. On this episode of The Axiom Amnesia Theory, Heit & Cheri discuss the role of guns in self defense during modern-day and historical oppression.

Topics discussed include whether slavery would have been as brutal and lasted as long as it did if Africans and African slaves were armed with guns, Gun Appreciation Day, Black Panther Party using guns for self defense, intimidation versus self defense, gun control, U.S. possibly staying in Afghanistan beyond 2014, lack of diversity in Obama’s new cabinet, upcoming presidential inauguration, Democrat and Republican cheerleaders, people associating the violence in areas like Chicago with the need for gun control, gun possession and the mentally ill, troops and police illegally killing people and cover up their crimes, peoples’ unwillingness to depart from the talking points of their political party, and more!

Segment 1

guns would have prevented slavery
Lately, there has been a lot of discussion about slavery. The latest issue is the question of whether slaves would have been slaves if they were allowed the right to bear arms–and likewise if Africans could have prevented being stolen if they had weapons technology as good as the Europeans who enslaved them.

We asked our Facebook friends: Despite who said it and their hidden agenda, do you think if enslaved Africans in America had the right to bear arms, slavery would have been as brutal and lasted as long as it did? Some people are up in arms because a fringe group within gun rights advocates plans to celebrate Gun Appreciation Day on the weekend of MLK’s holiday.

The woman in the video totally failed to come up with any argument. It’s obvious that guns would have made a difference in the hands of slaves–they wouldn’t have been slaves for very long!

One of the issues here is that people do not want to give an argument point to their “opposition,” such that even if the opponent says something that is true, they want to deny it. Problem is, that makes them look like fools to deny what is obvious fact. This leaves them in a position of simply rejecting the point, but having no logical grounds on which to stand. That’s where statements like, “This is a dumb question,” or “This isn’t true,” come from.

Discussion about the fact that guns (advanced technology) allowed the Europeans to enslave and maintain the system of slavery, even in situations where they were outnumbered.
Today, many Blacks are also selling their own into slavery by encouraging the support of political parties and leaders who only seek to exploit Blacks.
It is clear that the guy who supports Gun Appreciation Day has another agenda that means no good for Blacks.
Discussion about Harriet Tubman carrying a gun for protection.
During Civil Rights the call was for nonviolence in order to take the moral high ground as compared to those who used the threat of violence to oppress. There were Blacks who did have guns for protection.
Discussion about the Black Panther Party carrying guns for self defense. Some people try to suggest that this was for the purposes of intimidation, but this was a reaction to the threats and intimidation tactics of the racist whites. Their presence of guns prevented police brutality in their neighborhoods.
Discussion about how knowing people are armed is a deterrent for people enacting violence upon folks.
Discussion about the assumption that the average Democrat and the average Black person agrees with gun control.
If assault rifles are unnecessary, why does every police department equip themselves with assault rifles? When the U.S. invades other countries, they come equipped with assault rifles. Why then, shouldn’t people have the same opportunity for defending themselves from forces that mean to do them harm?
Discussion about the U.S. possibly staying in Afghanistan beyond 2014. The discussion point is whether the U.S. troops can receive immunity for the acts they commit there–just like in Iraq.

obama lack of diversity in cabinet

Discussion about the apparent lack of diversity in Obama’s new cabinet.
Discussion about how all the people who think Obama is going to do a bunch of stuff in his second term are right, but his sweeping changes won’t be what they expect.
People will pay the price for blindly throwing their support behind Obama–we all will.
Discussion about people who believe that having a Black president is the end all be all of Obama’s responsibility. They don’t care what he does, because the president is Black, but they are honest about it.

obama swears to kill innocent people

Discussion about the upcoming inauguration and the photo we posted on Axiom Amnesia’s Facebook page. He will drop bombs on plenty more innocent people with no apologies.
Discussion about how Democrats are basically conservative.
Democrat and Republican are merely the name of the political teams, but they both still play for the same league–just like the Lakers versus the Heat.
We just want someone to come up with a good argument concerning the whole “guns during slavery” debate.
When you look at all of the police brutality and shootings of unarmed people, how can a Black person (or anyone else for that matter) not be concerned about their personal safety to the point of wanting to defend themselves?
Discussion about people associating the violence in areas like Chicago with the need for gun control. The reality is those guns are not usually legal in the first place. So, more gun control will not change the guns used in these murders from being obtained by those who want them.
The more stringent the gun laws, the less likely it makes Blacks and browns able to have the opportunity to legally protect themselves.
While people are jumping up and down about gun control, nobody is still discussing the skyrocketing unemployment rate and poverty in the United States. Taking guns away doesn’t change unemployment and poverty rates.
Discussion about the gun control, and the ways people will circumvent those laws. We see this with countries with stringent gun laws, like Mexico. It will work the same way as illegal drugs–just creating an underground trade and market.
Discussion about gun possession and the mentally ill.
Is anyone who murders mentally ill?
If we need to keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, why aren’t the police and military de-armed?
Discussion about the way troops and police who are illegally killing people cover up the crimes of the “mentally ill” soldiers and officers.
Will people ever see the error of their logic? Probably not most of them, which is why these interactions will continue to be an assault on logical thinking as a weapon.
Discussion about peoples’ unwillingness to depart from the talking points of the political party they support.
If you are against gun ownership, then don’t own a gun!
